Tanzania Wild Safaris

Our safaris cover the northern circuit: Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara. Shorter trips focus on Tarangire and Ngorongoro; longer trips add the Serengeti, which is where the Great Migration takes place.

The wildebeest migration moves through the Serengeti roughly from October to July, travelling in a clockwise direction before crossing briefly into Kenya. Because most of the migration happens inside Tanzania, the Serengeti is the best place to see it. The dramatic river crossings are usually between June and September.

Our safaris include airport pick-up and drop-off, all park fees, a 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, an experienced English-speaking guide, all accommodation on your programme, bottled water and soft drinks, a medical kit and binoculars in each vehicle. International flights, visas, travel insurance and tips are not included.

Tented camp safaris put you closer to the wilderness at a lower cost, with comfortable permanent tents, real beds and hot showers. Luxury safaris use lodges with pools, full service and more amenities. Both use the same guides and the same parks, so the wildlife experience is identical.

Lion, elephant, buffalo and leopard are seen regularly. Rhino are the hardest, but the Ngorongoro Crater has one of the best rhino populations in Tanzania, so a crater day gives you a genuine chance at all five. No guide can promise wildlife, but we know where to look.
